The shooting of director Jayaraj's Loud Speaker, with Mammootty as the hero, is going on at Thrissur these days. The hero plays a villager from Idukki, who has been nicknamed ‘Mike’ due to his loud voice.

Media person Sasikumar has an important role in the film. The heroine is Gracy Singh, who shot into fame with Lagaan and Munnabhai MBBS. The film is being made with sync sound by Mumbai based Harikumar M.
