Padmapriya made her debut in Malayalam with a powerful role in Blessy’s Kazhcha. She has been accepted as an actor with brains by now.
But there have been reports that she was really keen to do some ‘bold’ roles after being tired with her goody-goody image on screen. Perhaps her item number in Bachelor Party was done with that in mind. But all that it fetched her was criticism from all corners.
Now things have become even more serious with No.66 Madurai Bus director M A Nishad complaining about her unprofessional behavior during the shooting of the film. The actor wanted a hefty sum and when she didn’t get the complete amount, she started coming late to the sets and finally didn’t turn up for the promotions of the film. The complaint has been submitted to the Producers’ Association and Padmapriya seems to have taken up the issue with the actors’ association, AMMA.
