Dir: Diphan
Cast: Prithviraj, Yami Gautham
BASIC FACTS: Prithviraj and Diphan (who has made some forgettable films in the past, like Leader) had teamed up earlier in the making of Puthiya Mugham a crucial hit that made Prithviraj a superstar. Yami Gautham, the heroine of Hero, was seen in the Bollywood hit Vicky Donor.
THE PLOT: Dharmarajan (Thalaivasal Vijay) was a hugely successful stunt master sometime back. Now he gets a chance to choreograph the stunts for director Adithyan’s (Anoop Menon) next film. The master seeks the help of Tarzan Antony (Prithviraj), a former assistant.
Tarzan makes a good impression on everyone, including the heroine Gouri Menon (Yami Gautham), much to the chagrin of the film’s leading man Premanand (Srikanth) and another successful fight master Uday (Bala).
Now what happens is anyone’s guess. The hero becomes the film’s hero!
REVIEW: Predictable, boring and full of cheap action is what Hero is all about. If your idea of cinema is all but watching action, more action and even more action, Hero may work for you in parts.
