Mammootty and Lal are non-identical twins in the forthcoming film, Cobra. Scripted and directed by Lal himself, the shooting of the film is currently going on at Chalakudy. It is for the first time that Lal is directing Mammootty. He has been part of the director duo of Siddique-Lal, when they made Vietnam Colony with Mohanlal. When Siddique became the director, Lal was the producer of Hitler, which had Mammootty in the lead.
Cobra is the abbreviation for ‘Kuala Lumpur Brothers’, where the brothers were born. After they found the name Cobra interesting, they started associating with everything that would add to their name. They preferred place like Kottayam, Kozhikode or Kovai, where the name started with Ko. Their efforts are to marry two sisters, Annie and Sherly (played by Kaniha and Padmapriya) to become ‘co-brothers’ and the situation guarantees great scope for comedy.
Cobra is being produced by Anto Joseph. The cinematographer is Venu and the music is by Alex Paul.
