Two films of Jayaram are releasing on Nov 25. Swapna Sanchari, directed by Kamal has Jayaram playing Ajayachandran Nair, a pompous Gulf returnee. Jayarajís Naayika in which Jayaram plays an yesteryear star is also reaching the theatres on the same day.
Swapna Sanchari has been scripted by K Gireesh Kumar, who had paved the way back to glory for Jayaram through Veruthe Oru Bharya, after he was almost out of the industry with flops one after the other. Samvritha Sunil is playing his wife.
Naayika is on the life of a yesteryear heroine, who disappeared into oblivion after ruling the screens for some time. The grapevine has it that Jayaram has only shot for a couple of days and his presence is being used by Jayaraj for better publicity. Jayaraj had been criticized for his film The Train in which Mammootty and Jayasurya shot only for a couple of days, but the film was marketed as if they were in full fledged roles. Urvashi Sharada, Mamta Mohandas and Padmapriya are the heroines in Naayika.
